(ooc : we were getting lost in the shuffle! Eep!)
Reposted from here.
*CB pulls up a few of her maps - she's flown by and over Japan numerous times but in terms fo stopping there - well, that's something new for her. And rather exciting. Most of Japan's main cities are on Honshu, as well as lots of agricultural regions. As well as a string of dormant volcanoes. The densely packed cities offered power plants that could be an easy source of energon. With the right equipment the dormant volcanoes and the numerous hot springs were an energy source with great potential. But she isn't in charge of this mission so she keeps these thoughts to herself.*
[comm] *whistles* I feel like I'm talking to the air here. Now I think we should alter our course just a tad, there's a nice jetstream we can ride the tails of. Be far easier than fighting the wind and we'd get there that much faster and I'm sure our mighty leader is rather intimating that speed is of the essence here. We can ride through the Aleuts and coast down the Siberian coast and *bang* there we are. I assume we're pilfering the local power supply?
*Without waiting for an answer she alters her own course, moving to a bit higher elevation to catch the wind. She tends to ramble a bit at the mouthpiece, but that's ebcause she spends a great deal of time working alone with no one to talk to at all. :(. She's not much good at these raiding missions, but she'll do her best. They must have had some reason for sending her along, right?*

[comm: CB] Would you like some company then?
*Vertigo was quite a distance above her yet, but able to match her speed without any trouble.*

[comm : (unknown 'Con)] Company is always welcome - at least to me. I can't speak for my charming companion but as for myself, well, when the trip is long the more the merrier and the faster the time goes! *laughs* Although I can't say I know who you are good voice from nowhere ...

[comm: CB] *Being able to fly this high does have it's advantages. But, that altitude gets too cold for my liking though. It does seem Megatron has become fairly short staffed on able seekers. Most have been restationed on Cybcertron and other deep space outposts. The rest have gone AWOL, for their own interests...

..oO( Am I cursed, or did someone stash that green menace Jinx in my subspace pocket while I wasn't looking? HOW did I draw an assignment with these two slaggin' slowbots anyway? )Oo..
*Skywarp idly pages through his operational data, reviewing the capabilities of the other fliers... and starts growling all over again.*
..oO( What tactical genius put the three of us together? That flying boat can't climb high enough to get out of the mud, and the useless-2 can't come down below a certain point before those ridiculous wings of his get pulled down by nothing more than simple air resistance. That means, as usual, I'm gonna have to do all the work here if we're attacked. )Oo..
*Bored and frustrated at cruising along at what was to him just above stall speed, the Seeker opened his comm*
[comm:CB/Vertigo] Would it help if I transformed and PUSHED?

OOC
((*calls that last one for the quotes page whenever it gets compiled.* XD XD))September 9 2005, 16:02:53 UTC 6 years ago
Re: OOC
(Hysterically enough it might. The F-15C has a 68,000lbs max take-off weight. The PBY Catalina's max weight is 35,420 and the U-2's (with external fuel tanks) is 24,150. Even more ironic given that all three planes are roughly 63 feet in length. XD)September 9 2005, 21:01:57 UTC 6 years ago
[comm: Skywarp] That could be a start... besides having to watch you flit about impatiently.
Or... you could just go on ahead, and scope out some locations for us to check in the Japan and Tokyo area. Emphasis on "scope"... you're not to raid it yet.

Re: OOC
Thank you, thank you. *bows* And yes, please feel free to grab that for the quote page. XDSpeaking of stats.. I'm using the F-15A as my baseline, since it's the one that would have been out in the '80's when the show was on the air. That said...
F-15A
Weight: 56,000 lbs max.
Max speed: plus 1600 mph
Service ceiling: 65,000 feet
((Stats lifted from the Wright-Patterson Air Force Museum aircraft reference book.))
With neither the Catalina nor the U2 able to go faster than 500 mph, is it any wonder that 'Warp is bored beyond belief? XD
